A Bill significantly reducing duties and tariffs on Kiwifruit, meat products and forestry for exports to Korea passed its first reading in Parliament this week, East Coast MP Anne Tolley says.

East Coast MP Anne Tolley has welcomed the news that over 3,000 local students from Whakatane schools will become part of a Community of Schools, aimed at raising educational achievement among students.

East Coast MP Anne Tolley welcomes a report showing the crime rate has fallen 9.4 per cent in Eastern Bay of Plenty for the last year. “Nationally, the crime rate is down 4.2 per cent per head of population. This is the fifth successive year crime has fallen, and means recorded crime has dropped by more than 100,000 offences compared to 2009,” Mrs Tolley said.
